James Ray

James E. Ray, 87 of Keyser passed away on July 6, 2022.

Born September 20, 1934, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Blizzard) Ray. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alma “Pat” Ray; and his siblings, Katherine Rohrbaugh, Olive Ray, John Ray, Michael Ray, Betty DeWitt, Ruby Agnew and Margaret Ray.

Mr. Ray proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1954 to 1965. He was a member of the VFW post 6775 in McCoole, MD. He was employed as an elevator mechanic prior to retiring.

Mr Ray was a very loving and caring father and devoted his life to his daughter. He also enjoyed tending his garden while he was able and making and sharing homemade wine with his family and friends.

Mr. Ray is survived by his daughter, Justina Dennis and husband, Josh Lyden; his brother, Jack Ray and wife, Bonnie; numerous nieces and nephews; and his goddaughter, Jamie Dyer Colman.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Ray will be cremated.

Friends and family will gather at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Thursday, July 14th from 6 to 8 p.m.
