Woodie Gay Mayhew, 90, of the Goodwill Retirement Community, Grantsville, formerly of Mill Run, Westernport, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the nursing home.

Born December 28, 1924 at Potomac Manor, WV, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Alice Virginia (Tasker) Paugh.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Mayhew, a grandson, Paul Bittinger Jr., two sisters, Minnie Sharpless, Dixie Watson, and two brothers, Daniel Paugh and David Paugh.

Woodie was a homemaker.  She was a member of Bonnieview Apostolic Church, Keyser, WV, where she had formerly been a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the church.

She leaves behind her husband Ray Joseph Mayhew of the Goodwill Retirement Community, three sons, Roger Paugh of Cordova, AL, Ray Mayhew and wife Pat of Keyser, WV, Wayne Mayhew of Barton, two daughters, Rita “Missie” Stevens of Cresaptown, and Debbie Bolyard and husband John of Cresaptown.

She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Shoan Gordon, Crystal Moon, Keith Metz, Tawanna Sisler, Jessica Riggs, Brad Bolyard, Lacey Shillingburg, Wayne Mayhew Jr., Latosha Mayhew, Brandon O’Haver, Sarah Mayhew and Emillee Mayhew, and numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday, August 6th from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at Bonnieview Apostolic Church, Keyser, WV, on Friday, August 7th at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Daniel Garlitz and Pastor Robert Fazzalore officiating.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
