Wilson Kenneth Michaels, 73, of New Georges Creek Road, Barton, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Frostburg Village Nursing Center.

Born February 10, 1940 in Barton, he was the son of the late Raymond Lewis and Marie (Cornell) Michaels.  He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Russell, Daniel, James, Richard and LeRoy Michaels, and four sisters, Lorraine Smith, Lola Brashear, Alfretta Johnson, and Betty Smiley.

Mr. Michaels was a retired coal miner, having worked for Buffalo Coal Company.  He was a member of Barton American Legion #189.  He was also an avid Nascar fan, fisherman and hunter.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary (Liller) Michaels, one daughter, Debbie Fields and husband Roger of Springfield, WV, two sisters, Dorothy Beavers and husband Junior of Westernport, and Peggy Paul and husband Garry of Pocahontas, PA.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  The Barton American Legion will hold a memorial service on Tuesday at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Jerry Eisenhour officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
