Wilda R. Fazenbaker, 90 of Piedmont passed away on January 23, 2020 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born November 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Edna (Fazenbaker) Biggs. She is also preceded in death by her husband, E. Richard “Dick” Fazenbaker, Sr., her son, E. Richard Fazenbaker, Jr., and her brother, Lewis Biggs.
Wilda was a 1947 graduate of Bruce High School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont where she married her husband Dick on October 13, 1956. Wilda belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution, and also played piano with the Rythymaires. She was a medical assistant for Dr. P.E. Berry for 8 years until she married Dick and started a family, raising her two children fulltime.
Wilda is survived by her daughter, Betty Jo Fazenbaker and her companion, Paul Johnston of Piedmont; her sister, Dorothy Bernard and family of Swanton, MD; and her brother, Robert Biggs, wife Joy and family of New Creek. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Margaret Ann “Sissy” Folk, Jane Biggs and their families; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Monday, January 27th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 28th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mary Beth Chien officiating.
Interment will be at Philos Cemetery, Westernport, MD
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Trinity United Methodist Church afterschool program, Piedmont, WV.
