Walter "Bob" Martin

Walter Robert “Bob” Martin, 81 of Westernport passed away on January 20, 2020 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born September 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Walter “Jokes” and Maude (McRobie) Martin. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra (Vandergrift) Martin; his second wife, Marilyn (Dyer) Martin; his two sisters, Mary Jane Wharton, Eleanor Stanley and two step sons, Scott and Steven Dyer.

Bob was a 1956 graduate of Bruce High School. He was employed at Westvaco and retired from there with over 40 years of service.

Bob is survived by a sister, Lillian Richards; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; two step daughters Judyann Porier and Pam Tuttle; and numerous step grandchildren. He is also survived by his very special friends, Mishawn Vinci, Amy Moorehead and Jill Davis; and a special angel at Dr. Bess’s office.

Friends and family will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Sunday, January 26th from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Sandy Cowan officiating.
