Virginia Lee Buckholtz, 62 of Lower Georges Creek Road, Lonaconing, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing.
Born September 19, 1953 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of Lois (Kirk) Rounds of Barton and the late Arthur G. Rounds. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, John E. Buckholtz Jr.
Virginia was a 1971 graduate of Valley High School. She was previously employed at Hunter Douglas from 1990 to 2014. She was a member of Barton Presbyterian Church, where she was active and held various offices over the years. She also served on her high school class reunion committee for many years.
In addition to her mother, Lois, she leaves behind her husband, John Edward Buckholtz III, a son, John Edward Buckholtz IV and wife Amanda of Lonaconing, a brother, Wayne Rounds and wife Marilyn of Barton, a sister, Brenda Sue Boggs of Waldorf, a grandson, Cameron Edward Buckholtz, and a brother-in-law, Robert J. Buckholtz of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Kevin and Korey Rounds, Brent Boggs, and Sheila Welch, a great niece and several great nephews, a mother-in-law, Pearl Virginia Buckholtz of Lonaconing, and a host of special friends whom were also caregivers, Cheryl Farrell, Dee Dee Miller, Sharon Howsare, Barbara DeShong, her brother Wayne, her daughter-in-law, Amanda, and Sandy Ayers.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Friday July 29th from 1 to 3 PM and 6 to 8 PM.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Barton Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 30th at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
