Vera Roseanna Wiltison, 93, formerly of 500 Carskadon Lane, Keyser, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.
Born May 31, 1919 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Minnie (Duckworth) Nicola. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, W. Troxell Wiltison, two sisters, Leona Reno and Elva McCabe, and two brothers, Wilbur and Raymond Nicola.
Mrs. Wiltison attended Hammond Street Elementary School, Westernport, MD, and Bruce High School. She worked briefly as a nurse’s aide in Oakland, MD, and at the Pepsi Cola Co, Wilmington, DE. Her interests included reading, travel and Sunday football.
She leaves behind three children, Eugene Wiltison and wife Robin of Ellicott City, MD, Robert Wiltison and wife Patty of Westernport, MD, and Darlene Newland of Roswell, GA, ten grandchildren, Thomson Wiltison and wife Allison of IL, Christa Hamilton and husband Rick of IL, Leigh Ann Wiltison of Laurel, MD, Marcie Wiltison of PA, Noelle Wiltison of SC, Debra Breeding and husband Matt of Cumberland, MD, Sean Wiltison and wife Mindy of Barton, MD, Lisa Newland of GA, Amy Little and husband David of GA, and Julie Newland of GA, and eight great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
A graveside interment service will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Cash Valley Road, LaVale, MD, on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 1:30 PM, with Rev. Randall Larry officiating.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetic Association.
Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, is in charge of arrangements.
