Valarie Grogan

Valarie Lynn Grogan, 58, of West Piedmont St, Keyser, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD.

Born June 26, 1956, she was the daughter of Rachael (Audine) Dayton of Westernport, MD, and the late Ralph Dayton.

Valarie was a 1974 graduate of Bruce High School.  She was employed as an Assistant Manager of Dollar General, Keyser.  Valarie enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts, and she loved her grandkids.  She was catholic by faith.

In addition to her mother, Rachael Dayton, she leaves behind her husband Robert “Bo” Grogan, two sons, Robert Mark Grogan Jr. of Richland, PA, Thomas Scott Grogan of Keyser, a daughter, Carisa Barbarossa and husband Antonio of Lebanon, PA, a brother, Tim Dayton and wife Diane of Westernport, MD, a sister, Rebecca “Becky” Donnellan of Frostburg, MD, five grandchildren, Christian Wiltison, Adrianna Grogan, Nayah Grogan, Alessia Barbarossa, and Kaio Grogan.  She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Faye Grogan of Keyser, a sister-in-law, Kelly Stickley of Keyser, brothers-in-law, Philip Grogan of Keyser, Rodney Grogan of Keyser, and Bill Donnellan of Westernport, MD, and nephews and niece, Caleb Donnellan, Jaden Donnellan, and Jonathan Dayton, and a special friend, Henica Zacari. A special thanks also to Valarie’s caregivers, Mark and Diane Harvey and Diane Dayton.

Mrs. Grogan was cremated.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.  A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM, with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.
