Theodore “Ted” Wesley Rosier, 88, formerly of New Creek, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.

Born September 15, 1924 in Barnum, he was the son of the late H. Leo and Thelma Maude (Abernathy) Rosier.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Kathaleen Hope (Kasmier) Rosier, a grandson, Kyle Adam Rosier, a sister, Betty Stout and a brother, Elmo Rosier.

Mr. Rosier served in the United States Army for two years before eventually retiring from the United States Air Force, having served during the World War II, Korean, and Vietnam Era’s. After retirement he was along with his wife, the owner-operator of the Blue Jay, New Creek.  He was a member of the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, a member of Kelly Mansfield Post #52 American Legion, a member and Past Commander of the Disabled American Veterans.

He leaves behind his children, Theodore W. “Teddy” Rosier Jr. and wife Linda of Silver Spring, MD, Thelma S. Rodeheaver and husband Terry of Keyser, and Kenneth A. Rosier and wife Edisa of Bosnia, two brothers, Richard Rosier and wife Margaret of Piedmont, and Ronald Rosier and wife Mary of Ohio.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Theodore W. Rosier III and wife Jenny, Philip A. Rosier, William M. Roy Jr., Amanda S. Roy, Katarina A. Rosier, Khrystian A. Rosier, Wyatt Rosier, Nadia Rosier, and four great grandchildren, Ethan M. Roy, Gavin Rosier, Vivian Grace Rosier and Paxton Rosier.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Thursday, January 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, on Friday, January 4th at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gwen Wolford officiating.

Entombment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, with military honors.
