Ruth Wilson

Westernport, MD

Ruth K. Wilson, 89, formerly of Westernport, and most recently of Frostburg Village, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the nursing home.

Born May 24, 1928 in Barton, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Martha (Bradley) Kyle.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Wilson, seven brothers, Ernie, Harrison, Richard, Jimmy, Clarence, Melvin and Floyd Kyle, and four sisters, Emily Inskeep, Ella Spiker Mixon, Mary Robertson and Dora Wilson.

Ruth was a 1947 graduate of Barton High School.  She was an Alumni Association member and always looked forward to each banquet.  She was also a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Westernport, where she taught Sunday school for over 50 years.  She was a very active member of the church, she loved her church and the people there.  Ruth worked for over 30 years as a custodian for the Board of Education.

She leaves behind two son, Tom Wilson and wife Sheila of Ridgeley and Mike Wilson and wife Joanna of Westernport.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Chris Wilson, Brian Wilson, Jennifer Milligan, Eric Wilson, Wendy Logsdon, Michelle Michael, Carrie Streets and Christie Wilson and fifteen great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Denise Wilson of Rawlings and one sister, Leona Pringle of York, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday, March 13th from 4 to 8 PM.

A funeral service will be conducted at the First Assembly of God, Westernport, on Wednesday, March 14th at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills in Barton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First Assembly of God, Westernport, G.A.M.E. center or Westernport Elementary School.
