Ruth Eileen Tichnell Streets, 90, of Falling Waters, WV, and formerly of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the home of her daughter.
Born July 14, 1925 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of the late Palmer and Opal Lottie (Clark) Rizer. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Austin Tichnell in 1989 and Richard Streets in 2006, two brothers, Clifton “Lindy” Rizer and Robert Rizer and a great grandson, Enoch Sweitzer.
Ruth was a homemaker. She was a member of Bloomington Methodist Church. She was a loving and caring person, and she especially loved all animals.
She leaves behind two daughters, Shirley Eileen Sweitzer and husband Gary of Mt. Lake Park, and Carolyn Bernice Walker and husband Robert of Falling Waters, WV, with whom she lived. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Lisa Singh of Smithsburg, Vernon Sweitzer of Oakland, Dianna McWherter and husband Rob of Martinsburg, WV, and four great grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday, September 16th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted following the visitation on Wednesday, September 16th at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Gary Rankin officiating.
Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington.
