Ruth Pauline Pritts, 84, of 99 Poplar St, Westernport, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, WV.
Born September 10, 1927 in Piedmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late James and Josephine (O’Neil) Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. Pritts in 1991, and one brother and two sisters. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Mrs. Pritts was retired from the Allegany County Board of Education, having worked in the Westernport Elementary School cafeteria for many years. She was also a homemaker.
She leaves behind a son, Fred Pritts and wife Jeannie of Westernport, a daughter, Vicki Coleman and husband Rick of Keyser, WV, three grandchildren, Frederick Pritts and wife Blake of Fort Ashby, WV, Jamie Pritts and wife Erin of Westernport, and Katie Wiggin and husband Phill of Morgantown, WV. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Adison and Parker Pritts.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Diane May officiating.
Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
