Russell Francis "Tarzan" Miller, Jr.

Russell F. “Tarzan” Miller, Jr., 72 of Piedmont passed away on February 27, 2025.

Born June 4, 1952, he was the son of the late Russell F. Miller, Sr. and Wanetta (Stewart) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his sister Patty Miller.

Tarzan is a 1970 graduate of Bruce High School. He was United States Army Veteran. He was a past Allegany County Legion Commander, past Mountain District Commander and a past Victory Post #155 American Legion Commander. He was very proud of all of his accomplishments during the time he spent as commander. 

In recent years, Tarzan enjoyed spending time with his cat and watching tv. 

Tarzan is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Karen (Saville) Miller; his son, Christopher Miller and wife Tammy; and his granddaughter, Alissa Miller. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Michael “Mike” Miller; sister, Margaret Steele; aunt Jeannie Harr; sister-in-law, Mary Lane Tasker; brothers- in-law, Donald Saville and wife Rebecca, and James Saville and wife Rhonda; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tarzan is survived by his good friends Howard “Buck” Barrick, Tony Taylor, and many friends from the Keyser McDonalds morning coffee crew. 

At his request, Tarzan will be cremated. 

Inurnment with military honors will take place at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap in the near future.
