Ronald “Moose” Crowe, 65, of 313 Lynn St, Westernport, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, WV.
Born May 8, 1947 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late James Alonzo and Helen (Winner) Crowe. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William and James Crowe and a sister, Geraldine Folk.
“Moose” was a member of Westernport United Methodist Church, and he was a retired employee of the Town of Westernport.
He leaves behind his wife, Mary Lynne (Morris) Crowe, two daughters, Joy Schenck and husband Steve of Burlington, WV, Yvette Whetzel and husband Frank of Petersburg, WV, two sons, Jerad Crowe of Westernport, and Jason Morris of Lonaconing. He is also survived by a brother, Albert Crowe and wife Carol of Klondike, five sisters, Patsy Miller and husband Don of Mt. Savage, Joyce Spataro and husband Mike of Clarysville, Mary Shriver of Cumberland, Jane McAfee of Punxsutawney, PA, Linda Jean Digman of Cumberland, eleven grandchildren, Joshua and Ethan Crowe, Tanner and Miranda Schenck, Niki Whetzel, Jackie Berg, Ginger Whetzel, Samantha, Brandi, and Tiffany Morris, Jason Scott Morris, and two children who were thought of as grandchildren, Noah and Blair Braithwaite, and three great grandchildren, Luke Morris, Terri and Madison Whetzel.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM, with a funeral service to follow on Wednesday at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Carl Cowan officiating.
The family would like to extend thanks to the Tri-Towns Rescue Squad, the Keyser Rescue Squad and Chris Green (Paramedic) for going above and beyond their call of duty.
