Robert "Bob" Allen Trenum, 83, of Barton, passed away April 5, 2021, at home.
Born May 30, 1937, in Franklin. Bob was the son of the late Alonzy Trenum and Madeline (Youtzy) Trenum. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Trenum and Gerald Trenum and a sister, Gloria Bosley.
A U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War, Bob retired from Westvaco after 33 years. He was a lifetime member of the Westernport Legion and the Barton Rod & Gun Club where he served as President at one time.
Bob is survived by his wife Irene, whom he quickly fell in love with and married on March 16, 1957; his loving children, Karen Bothwell, Peggy Spataro and husband, Ron, Kathy Hardman and husband Robert, and Virgil "Tex" Trenum and wife Sherry. Bob leaves behind 13 grandchildren who will miss him terribly, Richard Butler, Jr., Robert Butler, Rene Gilman and husband Ed, Ryan Butler, Zyler Winkler, Michael MacDonald, Kristy MacDonald, Misty Thomas and husband, Scott, Jenn Hardman Clark and husband, Brian, James Hardman and wife, Angela, Alyssa Connor and husband, JR, Dustin Trenum and fiancée, Samantha and Cole Trenum; 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Donna Mayhew and a nephew, Carl Weicht.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Butler, Jr., Michael MacDonald, James Hardman, Scott Thomas, Brian Clark and JR Connor.
Bob's family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to the UPMC Hospice team for their exceptional care during Bob's illness.
Friends will be received at Boal Memorial Chapel, 19006 Legislative Rd, Barton, MD 21521 on Thursday, April 8th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplin Seth Wharton officiating.
Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Barton.
