Robert Whetzel

Robert "Bobby" Whetzel passed away at his home in Westernport on March 19, 2024. 

Born on May 22, 1956 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Whetzel and Dorothy (Reno) Whetzel. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Whetzel and Whitney Smith.

Bobby was a man that could be counted on. He loved his family and friends deeply. He would go out of his way to help anyone. He volunteered at the Tri-Towns Food Pantry every week. He enjoyed being there, helping his community. He loved to laugh and have a good time. He loved to fish and go camping. He spent a lot of time at the river with friends. Bobby was a member of the Redman Club. 

Bobby is survived by his siblings, Deborah Preston (Bill), Elva Zais, Mary Whetzel (Bob), and Carl Whetzel (Sandy). He is survived by his loving dog, Misty, who was by his side at all times.  He is survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April 13, 2024 12pm-1pm  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1pm with his niece,  Chaplain Kristi Williams officiating. The location of the service will be announced soon.   

A Celebration of Life service is being planned and a date will be announced soon.
