Robert Bane

Robert Paul Bane, 82, of Johnson St, Westernport, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his residence.

Born December 22, 1935 in Piedmont, WV, he was the son of the late Harry and Florence (Jones) Bane.  He was also preceded in death by his wife Ceclestial Frances (Mackley) Bane on January 24, 2013.

Mr. Bane was a 1953 graduate of Piedmont High School and attended Potomac State College.  He served two years in the United States Navy.  Bob retired from Westvaco Corp., having worked there from 1961 to 2000.  He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, WV, along with being part of the church choir.

He leaves behind a daughter, Karyn (Bane) DeWolf and husband Richard of Mobile, AL, and a son, Kevin P. Bane and wife Connie of Keyser, WV.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM and Thursday from 12 to 1 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Steve Grimes officiating.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
