Richard Miller

Richard Elmer Miller, 86, of Hammond St, Westernport, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Moran Manor Nursing and Rehab.

Born February 21, 1932 in Westernport, he was the son of the late Leslie and Mary Louise (Biddle) Miller.  He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jean and Norma, and six brothers, Russell “Panama”, Forace, Kenny, Donald, Marvin and Alvin.

Richard was a Naval Veteran, having served during the Korean War.  He retired from Westvaco Corp., with 40 years of service.  He was a member of Victory Post #155 American Legion, Westernport, was Lutheran by faith and was an avid fan of the movie star, Audie Murphy.

He leaves behind his wife, Dorothy Lee (Raines) Miller, a brother, Clyde Miller of Westernport, a sister, Betty “Rosebud” Hartman of Westernport.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday, March 26th from 11 AM to 1 PM.  A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation on Monday at 1:00 PM.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
