Norman Edlewood Rankin, 79, of Hammond St, Westernport, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Moran Manor Nursing Home.
Born January 8, 1936 in Westernport, he was the son of the late John R. Rankin and the late Mary (Rhodes) Rankin.
Mr. Rankin was a 1955 graduate of Bruce High School. He was a United States Army Veteran, and he retired from Westvaco Corp, having been a supervisor in machine coating.
Norman was the kind of person that would give his last penny to a stranger.
He leaves behind his wife, Esther Pauline (Richardson) Rankin, a son, Norman Jody Rankin of Westernport, a brother, Raymond Rankin of Westernport, and a sister, Gloria Densmore of Moran Manor Nursing Home.
At Mr. Rankin’s request, he was cremated and there will be no visitation or services.
Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, is in charge of arrangements.
