Norma Marie Hamilton

Norma Marie (Tichnell) Hamilton, 91, of Keyser passed away on November 18, 2023.

Born August 21, 1932 near Chestnut Grove, Swanton, MD, she was the daughter of the late Troxell and Myrtle (Hoopengarner) Tichnell. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond Hamilton SR; infant son, William Hamilton; brothers, Hershel Tichnell and Lewis Tichnell; and sisters Cecelia O’Brien and Avanell Virts. She is also preceded in death by an infant great granddaughter, Ellie Armentrout; her in-laws, William and Edith (Mason) Hamilton; and her son-in-law, John Armentrout. 

Norma worked and retired from Hampshire Manufacturing. She loved to spend time at the river and at Riverdale Acres. 

Norma is survived by her children, Virgil Hamilton (Diane), Betty Armentrout, Donna Davidson (Keith), Doris Obenshain (Donald), and Raymond Hamilton, JR. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tracey Duckworth, Krista Armentrout, John Armentrout, Cindy Wilt, Robbie Hamilton, Jamie Hamilton, Stacey Host, Ashley Lewis, Jessica Lupis, Shauna Haggerty, and Keith Davidson, JR. Norma is survived by twenty great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and her siblings, Mary Jane Borror and Wilma Lahman and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Tuesday, November 21st from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. 

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 22nd at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
