Maxine Frances Kight, 97, of Wood St., Westernport, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2018, at her residence with loved ones by her side. Born June 25, 1920 in Keyser WV, she was the daughter of the late Mack Wellington Hull, and Clara (High) Hull Diehl. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Louis Malcolm Kight (May 29, 2001) and her sister Bernice Reel. Maxine was a graduate of Keyser High School and Potomac State College. She also attended WV College of Beauty Culture, Martinsburg WV. Maxine was a long time member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, where she previously served on the Board of Trustees, and also served as President of the Wesleyan Guild. She leaves behind her son, Lewis Malcolm (Sharolyn) Kight, six grandchildren: Angelei Hauge Valco, Crystallyn (Malani) Bilyeu, Allisyn Prais, Braven Kight, all of Kaua'i Hawaii, Vanessa Kight of Italy, and Bronson (Vaipuarii) Kight of Tahiti, 13 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Over the past six years Maxine cherished the annual summer visits to her residence by her son and great granddaughter Tiare Kaui. A memorial service will be conducted at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont WV, on Saturday, April 21st, 2018 at 12 noon, with Rev. Steve Grimes officiating. Friends and family will be received at the church one hour prior to service from 11 am to 12 pm. At Maxine's request she was cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church, 34 Jones St., Piedmont, WV 26750. Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, assisted the family with arrangements.
