Lola Mae Whittington, 72, of Knobley St, Ridgeley, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at her residence.
Born October 21, 1939 in Kempton, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward Kenneth and Dora Louise (Sisler) Harvey.
Mrs. Whittington was a 1957 graduate of Bruce High School, Westernport, MD. She was a retired loan officer, having worked for Chessie Federal Credit Union. She was a member of the West Virginia CEO’s.
She leaves behind her husband, Robert Whittington, two sons, Keith Alan Whittington of Ridgeley, Robert Lee Whittington Jr. of Cresaptown, MD, two brothers, Donald Harvey and wife Joy of Bloomington, MD, Kenneth Edward Harvey Jr. and wife Kim of Westernport, MD, one sister, Karen Hamilton of Keyser, and two grandchildren, Hailee Beth Whittington and Dakoda Robert Whittington.
At Lola’s request, her body was cremated.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, June 2nd at First Assembly of God Church, Maryland Ave, Westernport, MD, at 1:00 PM , with Rev. Greg Hammond officiating.
Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, is in charge of arrangements.
