Linda Frances Steiding

Linda F. Steiding, 83 of Westernport passed away on March 18, 2025 at the Keyser Healthcare Center.

Born May 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ada (Pyles) Brown. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Walter Brown, Noble Brown, Robert Brown, Floyd Brown, Jr., Joanna Milner, Ruth Williams, Mary Halbritter, and Ruby Criss; and a special nephew, Allen Halbritter.

Linda attended the Emmanuel Church in Keyser. She served God faithfully and was always there for anyone in need of prayer. Linda was a homemaker and raised her boys and cared for her husband and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and she enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was “Mam” to many, including Stevie and Rachel Markel and Morgan Bever. Linda was a loving and kind person, and always putting others first.

Linda is survived by her husband, David Steiding; her sons, Davey Steiding and wife Treva and Dennis Steiding and wife Amber; her grandchildren, Chrissy Steiding and fiancé Chase, Seth Steiding and wife Kylie and Ryan Steiding; her great grandchildren, Evy, Zach, Dominik, Rylie and Mason; and her sister-in-law, Lois DeRito. Linda is survived by special family members, Nan Ward, Rosemary Yutzy, Brian Halbritter, Billy McMillan, Andy Brown; special family friends, Joyce Shoemaker and Kristy Maynard; and many other extended family members and friends.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Friday, March 21st from 4 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 22nd at 12:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Church, Keyser. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 11 a.m.

Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.

Linda’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Keyser Healthcare Center, WVU Hospice and Potomac Valley Hospital for their kindness and excellent care given to Linda and her husband, Dave.
