Joseph Eversole

New Creek, WV

Joseph William Eversole, 68 of New Creek passed away on August 13, 2024.

Born December 11, 1955, he was the son of the late Harry and Joyce (Hartman) Eversole. He was also preceded in death by many family members. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Eversole; his children, Joseph Lee Eversole and wife Karen of Keyser and Amy Johnson and husband John of Keyser; grandchildren, Michael Martin of Keyser, Austin Martin of Keyser, Matthew Eversole of Keyser; and his great grandchildren, Nicole, Kennzee, Mason, Braxton, Malakai, and Miles. Joe is survived by his siblings, Frances Green, Lee Ann Eversole, David Eversole and his half-brother, Buddy Eversole. 

Joe was full of life, radiating happiness, and spreading joy wherever he went. Joe was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. His generosity knew no bounds, and was willing to help other at any moment. Joe enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and hunting. One of his favorite pastimes was participating in shooting matches with family and friends. Joe’s memory will live on in the stories his family share, the jokes they recount, and the love they continue to hold in their hearts.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Saturday, August 17th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, August 18th at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will be at Sin Clair Memorial Park, Cross, WV.
