John Thomas McGoye Jr, formerly of Piedmont, died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Donnell House, Washington, PA.
Born December 5, 1956 he was the son of the late John Thomas McGoye Sr., and the late Mary Ann (Kelly) McGoye.
John was a 1975 graduate of Piedmont High School. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He worked as a consultant-inspector for the Maryland State Highway Department.
He leaves behind a son, Ian McGoye (Specialist in the United States Army), Denver, CO, a daughter, Mary Ellen McGoye of Flintstone, MD, a brother, Jeffrey A. McGoye and wife Liz of Cumberland, MD, a sister, Joanne Miller of Pottstown, PA, and a grandson, Ethan McGoye of Denver, CO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John was cremated.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Thursday, September 17th at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Steve Grimes officiating.
Friends and family will be received 2 hours prior to service from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 17th at the funeral home.
