John Paul Bosley, 56, of Poplar St, Westernport, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born February 5, 1958 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late John William and Lottie Virginia (Farris) Bosley.
John was a 1976 graduate of Bruce High School. He previously worked for Laurel Run Coal Mine, but eventually retired as an asbestos remover from Insulation Specialist Inc. He was a member of the S.A.L #155, Westernport, a social member of Kelly Mansfield #52 American Legion, Piedmont, WV, and a member of the United Mine Workers Union. John at one time enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most recently he loved spending time with his grandchildren and sitting on the back porch feeding the birds.
He leaves behind his wife, Emogene (Broadwater) Bosley, three daughters, Casey Keith and husband Lane Sr., of Flintstone, Rhonda Knisley and husband Rob of McCoole and Lisa Wilt of Westernport. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lane Keith Jr., Tryp Keith, Jeremiah Clem, Samantha Coleman, Marc Coleman II, and Josh Hinkle, four great grandchildren, his dog “Blue”, a special cousin, Donna Martin and husband Leonard, and a special friend, “Punkie” Green.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday from 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Steffan Carr officiating.
Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Boal Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
