Jay Mitchell

Jay K. Mitchell, 63, of Westernport passed away at his home on August 5, 2020.

Born October 10, 1956, he was the son of the late John Karl Mitchell and Josephine (Morgan) Ridenour. He is also preceded in death by his brother, David Reckhart.

Jay is survived by his wife of 30+ years, Karen Elaine Mitchell; His children, Jay Mitchell and girlfriend, Shana Cook, John Mitchell, Kathy Mitchell, and Missy Wilhelm and husband, Matthew; his step-children, Tammy Anderson and husband, Michael, Teresa Kilpatrick and husband, George, Robert Roy and wife, Cori, and Glen Roy and wife, Kelsey. He is also survived by his brothers, John Mitchell, Irvin Ridenour and Joe Morgan; and a sister, Marj Helmick. Jay is also survived by his 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes, Jay will be cremated. The family will gather at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap on Monday, August 10, 2020.
