James David “Dave” Bradley, 65, of Westernport passed away on August, 16, 2017 at his residence.
Born May 28, 1952 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late James and Winifred (Small) Bradley. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Jean (Clark) Bradley.
Dave was a graduate of Piedmont High School. He was a Navy Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. Jim was a life member of the Kelly Mansfield Post #52, Piedmont, WV. Dave retired from Westvaco after 39 years of service.
Dave is survived by his two sons, Shawn Bradley and his wife, Kathy of Westernport and Brian Bradley and his wife, Krystal of Bel Air. He is also survived by his brother, Francis Bradley and his wife, Kim of Richmond, VA; his grandchildren, Colton Brafford, Brittney Williams and Christopher Hamilton; his niece Laura Peal and her husband, Daniel; and his nephew, Ryan Bradley and his wife, Natasha.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday, August 20th from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, August 21st at 11:00 am with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating. There will also be a visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone with military honors accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 172.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, or a Veterans organization of your choice.
