James Paul Cook, 85, of Clayton St, Westernport, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at his residence.

He was born February 15, 1930 in Lonaconing.  He was preceded in death by his wife Doris (Wilkinson) Cook in 1991.

Paul was a 1948 graduate of Central High School, Lonaconing. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served during World War II.  Paul retired from Westvaco Corp., having worked in the beater room at retirement.  He was a member of Victory Post #155 American Legion, Westernport.  Paul was an avid Laurel and Hardy fan, and Los Angeles Dodger fan.  He enjoyed traveling to Tennessee, and he especially loved his grandchildren.

He leaves behind his children, Marie Nicol and husband Wayne of Lonaconing, Pam Barb and husband Kevin of Westernport, Phyllis Gentry and husband Jimmy of Westernport, and Philip Cook and wife Tammy of Keyser, WV.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew Nicol and friend Mandi, Briana Perry and husband Mickey, Jennifer Henry and husband Matt, Kara Taylor and husband David, Ryan Cook, and Logan Cook, and his great grandchildren, Ella Henry and Aubrey Perry.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday, June 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 20th at 11:00 AM, with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.

Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
