Howard Edward Dye, Jr.

Howard Edward Dye, Jr., 83 of Cumberland passed away on March 20, 2025.

Born June 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Howard E. Dye, Sr. and Leona (Donald) Dye. He was also preceded in death by his son, Junior Dye.

Howard drove a truck for Super Concrete and retired from Cumberland Concrete. He spent a lot of time in the outdoors hunting and camping. Howard could never pass up a good yard sale. He had a heart of gold and would help others in any way that he could. His family was his whole world and he loved making memories with them.

Howard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ethel (Guynn) Dye; his children, Elizabeth Roberts and husband Steve, Roy Dye and wife Trina and Leona Brown; his brother, Donnie Dye and wife Ruth; his sister, Mary Michaels; and daughter-in-law, Mindy Dye. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Rebecca Russo and husband Tony, Billy Martin II, Timothy Brown, Alex Brown, Josh Brown, Tyler Brown, Summer Dye and fiancé Gerald and Juniors step children; and his three great grandchildren  and one great grandchild on the way.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Tuesday, March 25th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Sandy Cowan officiating.

Interment will be at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
