Hilda Roberta Flanagan, 80, of Keyser, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dwayne in Wellersburg, PA, along with her other daughter, Brenda, at her side.
Born May 15, 1932 at Moscow, MD, she was the daughter of the late Elsie (Dawson) Boal and step father, Clifton Boal. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick H. Flanagan, and a son, Melvin Lee Phillips.
Hilda was a hard worker, and was formerly employed at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, having worked in housekeeping. She was also owner-operator of Hilda’s Country Kitchen Restaurant, New Creek. She loved her family, gardening, yard work and animals. She was a wonderful mom and will be sadly missed.
She leaves behind a son, Joseph Wayne Phillips and wife Lena of LaVale, MD, two daughters, Brenda Clark of Barton, MD, and Barbara Blank and husband Dwayne of Wellersburg, PA, twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held.
Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap.
