Evelyn Mccarty

Evelyn McCarty, 97 of Westernport passed away on December 31, 2022 at Egle Nursing and Rehab.

Born April 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Clyde V. and Gladys L. (Miller) Marsh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles McCarty; daughter; Rayma McCarty; grandson, Lee McCarty; sisters, Mary Lou Smith, Beanie Failinger; brothers, Clyde Marsh, Ray Marsh; and daughter-in-law, Jeannie McCarty.

Evelyn was the owner and operator of Mac’s Restaurant in the Tri-Towns Plaza for over 25 years. Evelyn was a member of the Stoney Run Baptist Church, Westernport.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Clyde McCarty and wife Trudy, Richard McCarty and Charlene Paugh and husband David; brother, Tom Marsh and wife Jackie; a special nephew, Charles Duckworth; grandson, Pastor Michael Lashbaugh and wife Wenda; two great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marge Marsh and Beth Marsh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Stoney Run Baptist Church, Westernport on Saturday, January 7th from 1 to 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Morris and Pastor Michael Lashbaugh officiating.

Interment will be at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
