Evelyn G. "Joy" Feaster

Evelyn G. “Joy” (Marple) Feaster, 91, of Keyser went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 6, 2024. 

Born May 18, 1933 in Scheer, WV, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Tabias and Mary Magnolia (Metcalf) Marple. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Herbert “Babe” Feaster; three brothers, James Allen, Kennth Paul and Terrance Dwayne Marple; four sisters, Vera Mae Whisner, Cathlene Elaine Marple, Doris V. Welch and Darlene Mary Smiley; and one special grandson, Kenneth Dale Feaster, Jr.  

Joy’s most important priorities were the Lord and her family. She was a warrior for the Lord. Joy was a lifelong member of the Church of God. She would welcome others into her home and share her faith at bible studies and prayer groups. Joy was a homemaker and raised her children. She loved her family no matter what, they were her whole world. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and making crafts. 

Joy is survived by her loving children, Brenda G. Lee, Charles D. Feaster and wife Darlene, Kenneth D. Feaster and wife Virginia, Gary D. Feaster and Kimberly D. Dolly. She is also survived by her brother, Leon Marple; sister, Maxine S. Sugars; grandchildren, Chris Feaster, Selina Meek, Amanda Lee, Jenifer Smith, Katrina Feaster, Brandon Feaster, and Aimee Avona who was also her loving caretaker. Joy is survived by many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Tuesday, December 10th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. 

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 11th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Leatherman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 12 noon. 

Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser. 

Joy’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to WVU Hospice, Saweikis Family Medicine and her caretaker, Annie Dellinger for all of their compassionate care and love shown to Joy.
