Eugene Fisher Sr

Culpeper, VA.

Eugene J. Fisher SR, 68, of Mulberry Lane, Culpeper, formerly of Piedmont, WV, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012.

Born August 27, 1943 in San Bernardino, CA, he was the son of the late John M. and Mildred L. (Gentile) Fisher.  A brother, John M. Fisher JR, also preceded him in death.

Mr. Fisher was a graduate of St. Peters High School, Westernport, MD, and attended Potomac State College, Keyser, WV.  He was a reserve member of the Army National Guard.  He retired from Raytheon Defense Contractor, having been a manager.  After retirement he worked as a computer consultant for St. Peters Catholic Church in Washington, VA, where he was also a member of the church.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Washington, VA, and a member of Victory Post #155 American Legion, Westernport, MD.

He leaves behind his wife, Elise (VonMoos) Fisher of Culpeper, a son, Eugene Joseph Fisher JR and wife Jessica of Aldie, VA, one brother, Russell T. Fisher of Gulfport, FL, two sisters, Dorothy J. Maricle of Centreville, VA, and Jane E. Foxx of Upper Marlboro, MD.  He is also survived by three grandchildren, Chelsea, Anthony and Benjamin Fisher.

The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Friday, January 20th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peters Catholic Church, Westernport, MD, on Saturday, January 21st at 1:00 PM, with Father Rich Gray as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Westernport, MD.
