Ethan R. Poland, 24, of Rawlings, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at home.
Born October 2, 1990 in Cumberland, he was the son of Pam Poland and the late Robert Poland. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Burgess and grandparents, Robert “Tex” and Annabelle Poland, and a cousin, Anna Mae Broadwater.
Ethan is survived by his mother, Pam Poland and Ray McCutcheon, a sister, Jenna Shilling and husband Wayne, nieces Aubrey and Alexia Shilling, grandmother, Angie Burgess, aunts, Angie Dawson and husband Greg, Karen Broadwater and husband Gerald, Krista Smith and husband Bob, Debra Wiltison and husband Gary, and cousins, Justin, Jessie, Tyler, Tonya, Robert, Becca, Harley, Greg and Andrew and favorite companion, Bruno.
Ethan graduated from Fort Hill High School and the Career Center in auto mechanics. Ethan worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Frostburg Dining Service, Advanced Auto and NAPA Auto. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding motorcycles, and working on cars.
October 2nd is a day the Lord overwhelmed us with his love. When we saw Ethan’s smile we saw love, a smile that will be missed by everyone.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday from 3 to 7 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation on Thursday at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Sandy Cowan officiating.
