Betty graduated from Valley High School and Allegany College of Maryland.  She was employed as an Accounts Clerk III for 23 years with the Allegany County Board of Commissioners in the Finance Office.  She also taught and helped with Sunday school at Grace United Methodist Church for many years.

Betty Lou will also be missed by a special relative and friend Marty Swenskie.

Betty Lou and her family were blessed to have Mary John Davis as an exceptional friend and caregiver over the past several years.  Mom was loved and cared for by so many.  We would like to thank everyone who sent cards, brought food, said prayers, or checked to see if there was anything they could do to help us over the past nine years.

Friends and family will be received at Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Tuesday, July 2 from 5-8 PM.  Funeral services will be conducted in the Boal Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 3 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Harry Burchell officiating.  Graveside services will be in Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg, Maryland.
