Dorothy Sears

Dorothy Agnes Sears, 84, of New Georges Creek Road, Frostburg, went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 30, 2012 at Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born October 8, 1927 in Barton, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Katie (Preston) Miller.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Sears, a brother, Andrew Miller and two sisters, Della Bosley and Daisy Wilfong.

Mrs. Sears was retired from the Social Security Administration.  She attended Bible Baptist Church, Barton.  She was a member of Barton Legion #189 Ladies Auxiliary.  Mrs. Sears enjoyed reading and was very kind and giving.

She leaves behind a daughter, Roberta Saia of Palm Coast, FL, a son, Randy Griffith and wife Kathy of Barton, a brother, Harry Miller of Barton, three grandchildren, June “Nikki” Haupt of Ligonier, PA and children, Travis, Ivy, and Draven, April Saia of Palm Coast, FL and children, Allyson, Emmalee, and Madison, Chad Griffith and wife Betsy of Bridgeport, WV and child, Addie.  She is also survived by a niece, Carol Duncan of Flint, MI, and a nephew, Bobby Bosley of Barton.

There will be no visitation.

A private family service will be held, with private interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

Boal Funeral Home, Barton, is in charge of arrangements.
