Barton, MD
Darlene Green, 75, of Barton, went to Heaven to “kick ass and take names” on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.

She would rather throw a ball with you in the back yard then bake you cookies. She loved the outdoors and camping with family and friends. Her favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and Maryland Terps. She also enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon dominate in circle track racing.
In addition to Darlene’s mother, Ollie (Tichnell) Custer, she is survived by six children, Debbie Hockaday and husband Jim, Joy Jolley and husband Joe, Vince Green and wife Becky, Kenny Green and wife Betsy, Jackie Tawney and husband Brian, and Lisa White and husband Sean. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren whom all loved her very much, and her sisters and brother, Helana Gage and husband Ron, Ruth Miller, and Charles “Bugs” Custer and wife Shirley.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Friday, January 8th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the Boal Chapel on Saturday, January 9th at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Sandy Cowan officiating.
