Cora Groden

Cora Lee “Cookie” Groden, 65 of Legislative Road, Barton, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at her residence.

Born August 10, 1952 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Duane and Jennie Mae (Metz) Trenum.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Wiltison, a sister, Sandra Bateson, and a brother, Richard “Dick” Trenum.

“Cookie” was a homemaker.

She leaves behind her husband, John Groden, two sons, Richie Wiltison of Barton, Jamie Wiltison of Keyser, WV, two daughters, Leigh Ann Steele and husband Terry of Cumberland, Amy Smeltzer of Frostburg, and two brothers, Pete Trenum of Moorefield, WV and Wayne Trenum of Keyser, WV.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Miranda Wiltison, Abbigail Munday, Meredith Munday, Liam Munday, Joseph Steele and a great granddaughter, Adalynn Crabtree and her special friends, Debra Morton and Judy Duckworth.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Wednesday, July 11th from 7 to 9 PM.

There will be no funeral service.  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
