Clem Alexander Broadwater, 86, of Westernport entered Heaven’s gates on November 6, 2020 at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born on June 20, 1934, he was the son of the late Herman and Mary (Clem) Broadwater. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gennalee (Marple) Broadwater; a great grandson, Dillon Biggs and fifteen siblings.
Clem was a proud United States Air Force Veteran. He retired as a Master Sgt. from the 167th Tactical Airlift Group, West Virginia Air National Guard after 23 years of service in the Air Force and the Air National Guard. He was a faithful member of The Freedom Church in McCoole. Clem worked and retired from Westvaco, where he worked in the wood yard. Clem was very active, he was always keeping busy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and motorcycles. Clem was very talented, he played the bass guitar by ear, at one point he played in a local band from Barton. To Clem a handshake meant everything, it was his word and his honor. Clem lived a good and happy life, he will be missed.
He is survived by his two daughters, Debra Taylor and husband, Tom of Westernport and Vickie Hawkins and husband, Greg of Everett, PA; two sisters, Janet Lou Bradley and Mary Jane Ours. Clem is also survived by his six grandchildren, Chrissy Sharpless, Brandon Biggs, Bryan Biggs, Sarah Hawkins, Joseph Taylor, Stephanie Taylor; and six great grandchildren, Gavin Biggs, Joey, Adrienne and Annabell Taylor, Emily and Levi Sharpless.
Family and friends will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Tuesday, November 10th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Betty Ann Aronhalt officiating.
Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
