Clara B. Fazenbaker, 77, of Westernport, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born March 10, 1936 in Beryl, WV, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Hazel Braithwaite. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Wilda Rorhbaugh, Louise Dawson, Mary Grady, and Junior Braithwaite. She was the last surviving member of her Braithwaite family. The late Roy and Icee P. Cosner, her uncle and aunt, were also very special to her and played a large role in her life.
Clara was a lifelong member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church, Westernport. She happily spent her years raising her children, grandchildren, and caring for her family. Family was her most treasured possession. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Junior W. Fazenbaker, Sr., her precious daughter, Carol McNeil and husband Jeff of Cumberland, and her two adoring sons, Junior W. Fazenbaker, Jr. and wife Sheri of Westernport and Kenneth E. Fazenbaker and wife Jennifer of Westernport. Her three children were her greatest accomplishments. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Richard and Crystal Wilkinson, Jamie and Mark Harris, Jennifer and Wayne Porter, Chris and Kateri Fazenbaker, Brittany Fazenbaker and Jacob Howe, Megan Calcamp; and her great grandchildren; Ethan, Levi and Nikoa Wilkinson; Peyton, Emilia, and Charlie Porter; Maddie Bradley; Ryan Harris; Kylie and Kennedy Fazenbaker; and Kenneth Jaxson Howe.
Family and friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Christ Memorial Baptist Church, Westernport on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11:00 with Rev. Rick High and Rev. Bill Miller officiating. There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
