Chester H. Vincent, passed away on November 23, 2012, at his home in Bethesda.
He was born on December 9, 1922 in Shoals, Indiana.
Chet was a World War II veteran. He enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in September 1940 where he served until honorably discharge in December 1946. After training in radio telecommunications, he was assigned to the USCG Spencer where he spent most of his tour seeing action in the Pacific and Atlantic theaters of war. Upon leaving the Coast Guard, he was employed by the Central Intelligence Agency where he worked until retiring. Chet served with distinction in both the CIA and the Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife Mary Grace (DiGioia) Vincent, formerly of Luke.
A graveside committal service will be conducted at St. Peters Cemetery, Westernport, on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 12:00 PM, with military honors accorded at graveside. Family and friends may gather at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, by 11:45 AM, and then proceed to cemetery.
