Brenda Bean

Brenda Raines Bean, beloved mother, grandmother, Maw Maw, sister , aunt, great aunt, friend and neighbor, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, while in the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Brenda has been reunited with her beloved husband, Ronald Bean, who passed away in November of 2014.

Brenda is survived by her son Brian W. Bean of Glengary, WV; granddaughter Courtney McCusker and husband Bryan, of Flowery Branch, GA; Courtney and Bryan's daughters Aubrey, Everly and Henley McCusker; grandson Abraham A. Bean and Alexandra Valone of Gerrardstown, WV; and Abraham and Alexandra's daughter Adeline Bean; grandsons Nicholas and Lucas Shane of Martinsburg, WV; sister Shirley Sleeman of Frostburg, MD; sister Phyllis Harrison and husband Ronald of Keyser, WV; and brother James Raines and wife Della of Keyser, WV.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents James "Abe" Raines and Gladys Machin Raines and sister Carole Raines.

Brenda was also close to beloved neices and nephews Sharon, Melissa, David, Dawn, Denny, Larissa, Jeff & Troy. Brenda also had numerous great nieces and nephews who were precious to her.

Brenda was born on March 13, 1942 and was a 1960 graduate of Bruce High School in Westernport. Brenda grew up in Franklin, outside of Westernport and had many fond memories of her childhood. Brenda attended Frostburg State College and retired from the business office of Frostburg State.

Brenda was a member of Westernport Assembly of God and attended that chuch her entire life.

The funeral service for Brenda will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport. Visitation will be before the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place after the funeral.

A dinner will be provided by Westernport Assembly of God at the Fellowship Hall of the church on Maryland Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to Hospice of the Panhandle. The family would like to thank Hospice for the dignified care and kindness shown to Brenda while she was in their care.
