Bessie Louise Wildman, 73, of 15610 Maryland Highway, Swanton, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Garrett Memorial Hospital, Oakland.

Born November 18, 1938 in Piedmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Grove) Smith.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Peter” Smith and Douglas “Rootzie” Smith.

Mrs. Wildman was a homemaker.  She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

She leaves behind her husband, K. Wayne Wildman, four children, Michele Welsh and husband Glenn of Cross Junction, VA, Michael Wildman and wife Crissie of Swanton, Mark Wildman of Swanton, and Marcie Lyons and husband Mike of Westernport, her brothers and sisters, Buck Smith of Keyser, WV, Dottie Cangianelli and husband Tommy of Keyser, WV, Curt Smith and wife Angela of Piedmont, WV, Kathleen Ebert of New Creek, WV, Jimmy Smith of Keyser, WV, Gary Smith of Cumberland, and Sheila DiUbaldo and husband Steve of Keyser, WV, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She is also survived by her five grandsons who were the light of her life.  Brandon and Seth Welsh of Cross Junction, VA, Brian Wildman of Swanton, and Cody and Conner Lyons of Westernport.  She loved to attend all of their graduations, sporting events and school activities.  She mostly enjoyed Sunday afternoons up on the mountain cooking for her family and watching Steeler football.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Steffan Carr officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
