Barbara Rosalie Brashear, 72, of Stoney Run Road, Westernport, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at her residence.
Born June 28, 1939 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Veronica (Szabo) Syromi. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. “Ike” Brashear, a brother, Joseph Syromi, and a son-in-law, Jeff Williams.
Mrs. Brashear was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Westernport.
She leaves behind two sons, Stephen Brashear and wife Donna of Westernport, Clint Brashear and wife Cheryl of Westernport, three daughters, Debra Williams and fiancée Randal Fleming of Fountain, WV, Kim Bradley and husband Francis of Richmond, VA, and Charity Francis and husband Tony of New Creek, WV. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Jason Williams and wife Kathy, Jeremy Williams, Kirstin Brashear, Jordan Brashear, Laura Peal and husband Daniel, Ryan Bradley and wife Natasha, Clint Brashear Jr. and fiancée Danielle, Matthew Brashear and fiancée Katie, Maria Francis, and Jenna Francis, eight great grandchildren, Austin Williams, Gabreilla Jackson, Tucker Bradley, Gavin Bradley, Desire Brashear, Zxander Brashear, Brianna O’Reilly, and Eden Brashear, two step grandchildren, Jeremy Thomas, Shanna McDowell and Micah, and five step great grandchildren, Morgan McDowell, Mason McDowell, Peyton Thomas, Chase Thomas and Ava McDowell.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peters Catholic Church on Thursday at 11:00 AM, with Monsignor Paul Byrnes as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Westernport.
