Arthur Elwood Davis

Arthur Elwood Davis, 79 of Swanton passed away on October 26, 2022.

Born April 2, 1943, he was the son of the late Robert and Maude (Brown) Davis, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Lenora "Tump" (Duckworth) Davis; his siblings, Roy, Mary, Edwin, Garry, Pattsy, Donald, James and John.

Elwood is a member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a lay speaker and greeter. He was a member of the Folley Run Sportsman Club and a member of the UMWA. He was formerly employed at Island Creek Coal Company and Consol Energy.

Elwood is survived by his children, Ronald Davis and wife Barb, Steve Davis and wife Lucinda, Edward Davis, Rebecca Davis and husband Andy and Terry Davis. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; and his siblings, Robert, William, Nancy, Geraldine, Hellan, Joyce, Susan and Mildred.

Family and friends will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport on Friday, October 28th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will take place at the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, Swanton on Saturday, October 29th at 11:00 a.m. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the funeral service.

Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Swanton.
