Arthur Earl Smith, 77, of Lupton Drive, Martinsburg, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.
Born June 29, 1939 in Barton, MD, he was the son of the late Chester and Alice (Kohne) Smith. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Bosley and Audrey Hanlin and a grandchild, Matthew Earl Caulkins.
Mr. Smith was a retired meat cutter, having worked for Giant Foods. He also previously worked for RC Cola and Coca Cola Companies.
He leaves behind his wife, Alice (Beeman) Smith, a daughter, Kimberly Wood and husband John of Winchester, VA, a son, Charles Smith and wife Brooke of Inwood, a brother, Raymond Smith of Woodbridge, VA, four grandchildren, Kayla Caulkins, Alice Smith, Charlotte Smith and Mason May, and a great grandchild, Dakota Caulkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Tuesday, September 20th from 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday, September 21st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peters Catholic Church, Westernport, MD, on Thursday, September 22nd at 11:00 AM, with Father Edward Hendricks as celebrant.
Entombment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
