Armenia Patterson

Armenia Mary Patterson, 88, of 71 West Hampshire St, Piedmont, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD.

Born May 22, 1924 in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Spano) Patterson.  She was also preceded in death by five sisters.

“Army” was a retired clerk, having worked for G.C. Murphy Company for many years.  She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Westernport, MD.

She leaves behind a sister, Rosie Michaels of Moran Manor Nursing Center, Westernport, MD, a special niece, Barbara Saylor of Piedmont, and several other nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by Abbey Amoroso and Josh Amoroso, whom were thought of as “Army’s” grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Friday, July 27th from 2 to and 7 to 9 PM.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date.
