Anna Louise Duckworth of Luke passed away Monday September 16, 2019, at her son’s home in Hagerstown, surrounded by her family.
Born on January 14, 1931, in Lonaconing, she was the youngest of two children of the late John and Mabel Eichhorn. She graduated from Central High School in Lonaconing. She attended Catherman’s Business School and then worked for Potomac Edison electric company. She was a member of the Piedmont Presbyterian church and longtime member of the Maryland Terrapin Club. She was an active member in the El Fidel club and enjoyed dancing to big band music with her husband.
In addition to her parents, John and Mabel Eichhorn, she is preceded in death by her brother, George (Caryl) Eichhorn. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Richard Duckworth; her son John (Tina) Duckworth and daughter Diane Duckworth Dean; granddaughters, Megan (Andy) Williams and Sarah Duckworth; and grandsons, Sean, Jake and Christopher Dean.
The family will receive friends and family at the Boal Funeral Home, 111 Church Street, Westernport, on Monday, September 23 rd from 4 to 6 p.m. A celebration of Anna’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 24 th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Forbes officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service from 12 to 1 p.m.
Interment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Tri-Towns Rescue Squad or the Piedmont Presbyterian Church.
