Alma Joyce Price, 84, of Piedmont, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.
Born on April 15 1927 in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Ruth Howard. Her husband, Roy L. Price and a sister, Gertrude “Irene” Smith, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Price was a graduate of Howard High School in Piedmont. She was employed as a cook at the Mineral County Vocational School. She was a member of the Keyser V.F.W. Post #3518 Ladies Auxiliary.
She leaves behind all eight of her children, daughter Donna Pollard and husband Russ of McKees Rock, PA, son Jerry Price and wife Loretta of Piedmont, daughter Denise Morsell and mate Allen of Waldorf, MD, son Derek Price and wife Kathy of Keyser, son Michael Price and wife Pamela of Keyser, daughter Vonda “Mischelle” Dorsey and husband Ralph of Columbus, GA, son Shawn Price and wife Jeanett of Bowie, MD, son Todd Price and wife Anna of Valencia, CA, fifteen grandchildren, Erica, Danielle, Justin, Dianne, Bryan, Allena, Steven, Taryn, Mike, Jason, Tina, Curtis, Cedric, Christopher and Kyle. She is also survived by her sister Jeanett Hamilton of Paw Paw, WV, and fifteen great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Friday, December 16th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, on Saturday December 17th at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Harry Coleman officiating.
Interment will be in Thorn Rose Cemetery, Keyser.
